Efforts Paid to Restore Original Capacity of Power Generating Equipment in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the field of the electric power industry of the DPRK are directing big efforts to restoring the original capacity of power generating equipment this year.

Those in the hydroelectric power stations are striving to carry out the readjusting and reinforcing work planned for this year.

The power producers of the Suphung Power Station, who had already carried out the overhauling of two breakers ahead of schedule, invented and introduced rational jig equipment to open up a prospect for finishing the overhauling of the generator No. 3.

The workers of the Hochongang Power Station finished the overhauling of the water-wheel generator of the Power Station No. 6 ahead of schedule and are pushing ahead with the work to restore several water-wheel buckets.

Similar successes are witnessed at the Thaechon, Sodusu and other hydroelectric power stations.

Power producers at the thermal power plants are concentrating efforts on the work for increasing the efficiency of generating equipment.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex has intensively conducted the work to repair the generator No. 7 and, at the same time, pushed ahead with the preparation for restoring the original capacity of generator No. 3 in a responsible manner.

Similar work has been conducted at the Pyongyang, Sunchon, Chongchongang and other thermal power plants.
