The General Secretary set forth a task for remodeling the factory to decisively raise the production of shoes in quantity and quality. He dispatched a powerful construction force for its renovation and solved problems arising in the project, ranging from the design and building operation to the supply of materials.

Thus, it was built into a wonderful footwear factory in a little more than five months since the start of the construction.

One day in January Juche 104 (2015), the General Secretary visited the remodeled factory. He was so pleased with the firm guarantee for increasing the production and improving the quality of the products and stressed the need to produce more quality and attractive leather shoes in line with the fact that the factory turned into a model and standard footwear factory of the country.

And he also urged the factory to steadily strive for the improvement of quality so as to make its "Maebongsan"-trademarked products popular among the people.

The factory won the certification of quality control system by finishing the new process to produce quality shoes to suit the people's tastes and sense of beauty. Its products with peculiar patterns and shapes attracted the attention of people at the 2023 Spring National Footwear Exhibition.

Whenever a national footwear exhibition is held in Pyongyang, many people visit the stand for this factory's products before other stands.
