Officials of the Ministry of Railways directed their efforts to further strengthening the unified command system and ensured that the demands for transport in different sectors of the national economy were satisfied.

The Pyongyang Railway Bureau has carried over 130,000 tons of more freight as compared with the same period of last year by learning in detail about the freight traffic and the movement of locomotives and freight cars and by forming and allocating trains well.

The officials and workers of the Hamhung Railway Bureau made effective use of internal reserves and potentials and brought about collective innovations in freight transport.

The Kaechon and Chongjin railway bureaus also successfully carried out their freight transport plans for January while increasing transport and traffic capacities.
