Present there on invitation were Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Mun Song Hyok, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Myong Ho, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Kyong Chol, vice-minister of Culture, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned and foreign diplomatic envoys here.

Present there were Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, a cultural delegation of Liaoning Province, China led by Liu Huiyan, member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Publicity Department, staff members of the Chinese embassy and Chinese residents here.

Wang Yajun said that the China-DPRK friendship is the traditional one personally provided and cultivated by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries, adding that the friendship would continue to advance toward the future under the firm leadership and strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Kim Jong Un, opening up the beautiful future of the peoples of the two countries together.

This year China and the DPRK will surely realize their future dream hand in hand, supporting each other though manifold difficulties, hardships and challenges persist on the road of advance, he stressed.

Kang Yun Sok said that the traditional DPRK-China friendly relations have been developed in various fields and friendship between the peoples of the two countries deepened last year under the deep care and guidance of the top leaders of the two countries.

He wished the Chinese people fresh successes in the struggle for achieving the prosperity of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China with General Secretary Xi Jinping as its core.

A performance was given by artistes of the cultural delegation of Liaoning Province, China at the reception.
