New Teaching Methods Applied in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Schools in different parts of the DPRK have actively created and introduced developmental, quest and discussion teaching methods in keeping with the specific conditions, true to the idea and spirit of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School are further improving the theoretical and understandable teaching of the political and ideological subjects through the Party's policies.

The Songyo Junior Middle School in Songyo District and Munsin Junior Middle School in Tongdaewon District have given lessons in subjects like national language, mathematics, natural science and foreign language through experiences, association and discussion and improved the students' abilities to make a speech and composition by a quiz.

Among those schools that have successfully improved their instruction through new teaching methods calling forth the students' zeal for competition and curiosity are Sowon Senior Middle School in Pyoksong County, Paeksong Senior Middle School in Phyongsong City and Minam Senior Middle School in Sukchon County.

The June 9 Ryongbuk Technical Senior Middle School in Taesong District, the Jisin Senior Middle School in Huichon City and many other schools are training students to be practical talents by improving visual, demonstrative, laboratory and practical education.
