Youths in Kangwon Province Volunteer to Work at Labor-consuming Posts of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- More than 60 young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK volunteered to work in difficult and labour-consuming sectors of socialist construction in a mind to display the power of patriotism and unity in the van of the general advance for thoroughly implementing the resolutions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the administrative policy of the government of the Republic.

Members of the youth league in Kumgang and Phangyo counties set their coordinates of life at farms after determining to attain the goal of grain production set forth by the Party at any cost.

Young people in Munchon City, Chonnae, Phyonggang, Anbyon and Kosan counties volunteered to work at the worksites of regional and rural construction.

Young people in Changdo and Hoeyang counties volunteered to work at the Songnam Youth Coal Mine of the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex and those in Wonsan City, Thongchon and Kosong counties requested to their youth league organizations to work at road platoons.

A meeting took place at the Kangwon Provincial Art Theatre to congratulate the volunteers.

Present at the meeting were Kim Myong Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league, youth and students.

Speeches were made there.

Officials, youth and students in the province warmly saw off the volunteers leaving for their new posts.
