More Preliminary Cutting Faces Secured in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Thanks to the efforts of the workers of coal mines across the DPRK, the Ministry of Coal Industry secured more than 250 preliminary coal cutting faces in January.

The coal mines introduced advanced tunneling methods and raised the enthusiasm for socialist emulation for high-speed tunneling movement while concentrating manpower and means on prospecting and tunneling.

The tunneling platoons at the February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine and the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex made contribution to providing more than 50 preliminary coal cutting faces through continuous drilling and blasting.

The Namdok, Inpho and Songnam youth coal mines of the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex secured tens of preliminary coal cutting faces. They boosted the connection between processes and displayed the collectivist spirit of helping and leading each other forward, thus increasing the results in tunneling.

Similar successes were witnessed at the Kaechon, Kujang, Tukjang and Hamnam area coal mining complexes.
