On February 8, Juche 37 (1948), 76 years ago, emotional cheers of hurrah of declaring the founding of the Korean People's Army (KPA) resounded in Pyongyang.

President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious iron-willed commander and outstanding strategist, made a speech at the military parade of the KPA that day. He said that the founding of the KPA is a great pride of the Korean people and another shining victory.

The KPA has recorded with pride the brilliant victory and glorious history in the confrontation with the U.S. for more than seven decades since its foundation under the guidance of the peerlessly great men.

In the fierce Fatherland Liberation War in the 1950s, which can be called the fight between rifles and A-bomb, the KPA defeated the U.S. imperialists and won a great victory in the war.

It has only won victories in the struggle for defending socialism in the 1990s and the advance in the century of Juche, fully smashing the moves of the allied forces of imperialists.

Today the KPA greeted the greatest heyday of its development as an elite revolutionary army possessed of ever-victorious strategy and tactics, bold offensive mode and heroic fighting spirit, flying invincible colors under the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The KPA has grown into a-match-for-a-hundred combat ranks of the matchless army capable of defeating any formidable enemy at a single blow. It is firmly defending the dignity and destiny of the country.

The people across the country are extending warm congratulations and militant salute to the officers and men of the heroic Korean People's Army who are demonstrating their might in defending the country and building a powerful socialist country on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the KPA.
