The ministry is paying primary attention to increasing the ship-building capacity of the Tanchon Shipbuilding Yard and pushing ahead with the work to supply the factory with steel plate needed for ship-building.

The ministry fixed the period of manufacturing and installing various kinds of equipment needed for technical upgrading of heat treatment process in order to build a production process for high-performance engine parts at the Hungnam Ship Accessories Factory, and is stepping the work in connection with relevant organs.

The Wonsan Fishing-tackle General Factory has pushed forward the work to complete the project according to its processes.

The Yomju Net Factory is supplying materials necessary for its renovation and repair.
