First Song in Praise of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- The song "We Will Be Loyal to You Generation after Generation" was produced by the creators and artistes in the sector of literature and art in the 1970s when the era of great succession was opened up in the history of the Korean revolution. The song is still popular among the people of the DPRK.

This song was the first musical tribute to Chairman Kim Jong Il by the Korean people, which reflected their boundless reverence and pledge.

Calling him, who ushered in a golden age of the Juche-oriented literature and art and trained them to be revolutionary writers and artistes, "Dear Leader", the writers and artistes dedicated themselves to composing the ode to him.

On Feb. 16, Juche 60 (1971), they sang the song in tears before the Chairman as a token of their pledge to remain faithful to him generation after generation.
