The Institute of Agro-chemicalization under the academy has directed all its efforts to the production and supply of seed-covering materials for growing healthy rice seedlings and an effective mixed insecticide for rice seedbeds enabling to save labor and production costs.

The Rice Research Institute and the Institute for Disseminating Science and Technology are taking technical measures to introduce the nutritive cold-bed rice seedlings with low investment and high profitability into large area of paddy fields.

The Agricultural IT Institute and the Agricultural Land and Resources Institute are pushing ahead with the work to introduce advanced technologies such as green manure crop cultivation technology and land conservation farming method capable of improving the fertility of soil in a sustained way.

Other institutes, too, are striving to update various information systems to estimate the harvest of rice, wheat, barley and maize and the national grain output by using satellite images, aerial photographs and technology for simulated crop growth.
