Japanese Authorities Condemned for Discriminating against Koreans in Japan
Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- Rallies took place in Tokyo on February 2 and 6 in demand of the settlement of the issue of supporting Korean schools in Japan.

Present there were persons concerned of Korean schools and members of a civic organization of Japan.

Speakers at the rallies condemned the Japanese authorities for having pursued discrimination against Koreans' national education since the exclusion of Korean schools from tuition-free program for senior high schools in 2010.

Saying that all children should be provided with the right to learning without discrimination, they noted that Koreans in Japan have vigorously staged protests and legal action to disclose the injustice of the Japanese authorities' discrimination against Korean schools and have the issue resolved.

They stressed that they would stage protests in unity until the right to learning of the students of Korean schools is guaranteed across Japan.

Saying that the exclusion of Korean schools from the tuition-free program for senior high schools is to deny the right to national education of Koreans in Japan and create an atmosphere of discriminating against them, they urged the Japanese authorities to stop the discrimination against Korean schools.
