Whole Life of Chairman Kim Jong Il Shining with Love for People
Pyongyang, February 18 (KCNA) -- The yearning for Chairman Kim Jong Il is surging in February.

The Korean people are looking back with deep reverence for the great father his sacred life consistent with boundless love for the people.

"The People Are God" was his lifetime motto and his unshakable patriotic faith was that the country exists as the people exist.

He regarded the people as God and devoted his whole life to the people with his noble outlook on the people that one should pluck even a star from the sky and bring flowers into bloom even on a rock for the happiness of the people.

On February 16, Juche 73 (1984) when all the people across the country celebrated his holiday, the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation, Kim Jong Il guided the consultative meeting of senior officials on improving the people's living standard without taking a rest.

That day he told officials that it is the supreme principle of the activities of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) to steadily improve the people's living standard, adding that the WPK is the party which takes full responsibility for the destiny of the people and strives to provide them with a more affluent and civilized life.

He said that the aim of the WPK which has put forward the programme of modeling the whole society on the Juche idea and struggled for building socialism is to make the people better off, adding that there is no more important task for our Party waging the struggle than improving the people's standard of living by conducting economic construction well.

He dedicated his birthday to the people, putting forward it as the most important affair and the supreme goal of struggle to improve the people's living standard. Thanks to his devoted efforts, the ideal of the Korean people could be successfully realized on this land.

Indeed, his whole life was the noble revolutionary career of the benevolent father who had devoted his all to the people.
