The Sinhung Area Revolutionary Battle Site is a significant place associated with the feats of President Kim Il Sung, who during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, advanced into the area several times to guide the work of small units and groups of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) and revolutionary organizations and arouse the people to the sacred war for national liberation.

At the site of the Sambatsan Meeting, the visitors were briefed on the fact that in September Juche 26 (1937) the President made a historic speech "For a Fresh Upsurge in the Revolutionary Struggle in the Homeland" before political workers of the KPRA and chiefs of underground revolutionary organizations.

They marched along the course associated with the sacred footsteps of Chairman Kim Jong Il, who visited the revolutionary battle site in May 2001, going across rugged mountains.

During the march, they had meetings to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas and sing the revolutionary songs in chorus and other events.
