Now that a method of estimating the grain yields in all farms of the country through satellite image analysis and crop growth simulation technologies has already been established, the scientists are carrying on the research into further improving the accuracy of image analysis and yield estimation by using planes and drones.

In cooperation with the relevant units, the work for steadily improving the scientific accuracy and feasibility of crop-growth forecasting and the research for introducing the agricultural management IT system are progressing as planned, along with the development of an intelligent farm integrated production system.

Steps are also being taken to disseminate the agricultural science and technology more effectively.

Meanwhile, scientists of the institute have stepped up the researches for correctly assessing the crop growth and farm operations through drones and developing and introducing various programs for differentiating and diagnosing the weeds, harmful insects and nitrogen nutritive conditions, etc. of crops with a mobile phone and for taking proper measures.
