Many Women Take Active Part in Public Life in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- After the 5th National Conference of Mothers, more than 14 000 women, fully aware of the responsibility and duty they assume before their families and society, have taken an active part in public life to lay the foundation of a powerful country through their diligent efforts.

A woman living in Sinjong-ri of Kapsan County, the DPRK's first winner of the Communist Mother Honor Prize, has become an honorary farmer of a local farm.

Women's union members in Phyonggang County and Pukchang, Sunchon and Kaechon areas have taken an active part in public life, cherishing the love and trust of the great father at the glorious conference as the greatest asset in their lives.

In December last year, over 6 000 women have volunteered to work in major economic sectors by following the spiritual world of the participants in the conference.

Many women's union officials and members across the country have taken an active part in public life, in response to the requirements of the times amid the dynamic struggle for implementing the decisions of the December 2023 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.
