The proud looks of the Korean women, who always seek happiness in devoting themselves to their jobs, can be seen everywhere at factories, farms, cities and villages.

On the occasion of the March 8 International Women's Day, they extend their deep gratitude to the peerlessly great persons for providing them with a proud and worthwhile life.

President Kim Il Sung had worked heart and soul to present genuine independent rights and a happy life to the women, who once suffered from all sorts of class exploitation, national oppression and feudal fetters, since the initial days of his revolutionary activities.

Under his wise guidance, the law on sex equality was promulgated in the DPRK soon after national liberation, which helped women get the same rights as men and play a part in developing the revolution, construction and society.

Chairman Kim Jong Il lighted up the path ahead of the Korean women's movement in every period and every stage of the developing revolution, and showered them with great love and trust.

He also made public famous works to make sure that the women fulfill their responsibility and role in developing society and the revolution.

Under the loving care of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who carries forward the noble will of the President and the Chairman, the DPRK women's life has gained more luster.

He issued important instructions to be followed by the women in the new century of Juche and has led them to live and work as a patriot contributing to the building of a powerful socialist country.

He saw to it that a splendid concert was given in honor of them to mark the March 8 International Women's Day in Juche 101 (2012), where he extended warm greetings to all the women of the country, and instituted Mother's Day in the same year. He held the 5th National Conference of Mothers in December 2023, where he personally called the participants communist mothers, highly appreciating the mothers who fulfilled their maternal duties to society and family.

The Korean women now put their heart and soul into the work for bringing prosperity to the country, mindful of the great honor of enjoying a blessed life under the care of the peerlessly great persons through decades and through centuries.
