DPRK Beats Japan at AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup 2024

| Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The DPRK beat Japan at the group league match of the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup 2024 and advanced into the semifinals. The U-20 Women's Asian Cup, which began in Uzbekistan on March 3, brings together teams from eight countries and regions including the DPRK, Australia and Chinese Taipei. Those teams carried out group league matches, divided into two groups. The DPRK team of Group 2 drew 1:1 with China and beat Vietnam by 6:0, and played Japan on March 10. DPRK player No. 20 scored a goal about 22 min after the first kickoff. The DPRK team beat the Japanese team by 1:0 and advanced to the semifinals as the top of the group. |
