Okryu Children's Hospital
Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Okryu Children's Hospital on March 21, Juche 103 (2014).

That day he took measures to solve problems arising in the management of the hospital, after learning in detail about the most insufficient medicines for the preventive and curative medical care, the most common disease among children and needed equipment.

He earnestly asked the medical workers of the hospital to display a high sense of responsibility in the medical service and devote their sincerity to it.

The hospital is a medical service center associated with the devoted efforts of the General Secretary.

The General Secretary proposed the building of the hospital and chose its site near the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. And he took measures for providing construction forces and materials and examined the design of the hospital on dozens of occasions.

He visited the construction site on a rainy day so as to give detailed instructions on medical equipment and fixtures. And he took steps for securing ultra-modern medical equipment for the hospital.

He ensured that even a helicopter pad was built at the hospital. Some months later, he visited again the construction site of the hospital whose project was nearing completion, in order to give an instruction on decorating the hospital with peculiar pictures for children and name it.

Over the past years, the hospital cured a child from Hoeryong City who could not use the legs for nine years, and a boy from Sariwon City who had suffered from poor eyesight for more than ten years.

That's why people would say that there are many hospitals for children in the world, but the Okryu Children's Hospital is the best children's cradle without a parallel in the world as it was built under the warm loving care of the peerlessly great man and the children of ordinary working people are provided with fine medical services there.
