Sung Kyong Chol, vice-chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, in a report at the meeting noted that the shock brigade members have waged a dynamic struggle with tireless enthusiasm for study, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of attaching importance to science and technology.

The achievements made by the shock brigades last year are the result of the energetic guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the efforts of the shock brigade members who have dynamically pushed forward a new phase of the national development with scientific research successes, the reporter said.

He called upon all officials, scientists and technicians to fulfill their responsibility and duty in the struggle for providing a clear practical guarantee for carrying out the Five-Year Plan.
