The Agricultural Commission has made sure that fruit farms across the country strictly observe the principle of planting the right tree on the right soil under the banner of scientific fruit farming, thus planting more than 2.6 million fruit trees of good species in conformity with regional characteristics.

The Samchon and Anak fruit farms and Unchon Youth Fruit Farm over-fulfilled their quotas for planting fruit trees.

Officials and working people of the farms planted more than 70 000 high-yielding fruit trees by applying over 100 tons of self-sufficing manure per hectare and introducing the dense cultivating method.

Similar successes have been made at the Pyongyang Fruit Farm, Sukchon Youth Fruit Farm, Sariwon Fruit Farm, Kosan Combined Fruit Farm, Kilju Fruit Farm and other farms.
