University Graduates Volunteer to Work at Faraway Schools
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Graduates from universities of education and teachers training colleges in Kangwon Province and Nampho Municipality have made up their minds to become true teachers who would educate pupils to be pillars of the country at branch schools in islands and front-line and mountainous areas.

Dozens of graduates from Wonsan University of Education and Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College volunteered to work at those branch schools.

The discharged soldiers graduated from Wonsan University of Education, all of whom are Party members, decided to devote their youth, wisdom and enthusiasm to the education of children of service personnel and orphanages.

Among the volunteers are those who went through primary and middle schools for orphans.

An educator of Wonsan Ri Su Dok Teachers Training College volunteered to work for a mountain school in Kimhwa County.

More than ten graduates from Nampho Teachers Training College and Nampho University of Education petitioned to work at schools in Samjiyon City and in islands including Cho Islet.

Present at the congratulatory meetings held on the spots respectively on March 24 were Kim Myong Chol, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Yong, secretary of the Nampho Municipal Committee of the WPK, youth league officials, youth and students.

A certificate of petition was conferred on the volunteers and congratulatory speeches and oath-taking speeches were made there.

Congratulatory performances were given in honor of them and then officials, youth and students presented bouquets to the volunteers, giving pep talks to them.
