According to its landscaping plan, more than 100,000 trees of tens of species will be planted in streets, residential quarters, parks, pleasure grounds and major places.

Pothonggang District has planted more trees than planned every day in the area around the Pothong River as a part of the project to protect the ecological environment of the river.

Tree planting is now under way in Mangyongdae, Hwasong, Moranbong and Central districts.

Officials and working people in Phyongchon, Sosong, Taesong, Tongdaewon and other districts, too, have turned out as one in the tree planting, mindful that landscaping is for adding beauty to the capital city and providing the citizens with better cultural and emotional living conditions and clean environment.
