Present there were Vice-Premier Pak Hun, Minister of State Construction Control Ri Sun Chol, Minister of Land and Environment Protection Kim Kyong Jun, Minister of Urban Management Im Kyong Jae, General Director of the State General Bureau of Design Kang Kwon Il, members of the AUK Central Committee and union members in Pyongyang Municipality, officials concerned and officials of the construction sector and relevant units.

The reporter said that the 70-year history of the AUK is a proud history of glory in which it has achieved epoch-making development of Juche-oriented architecture under the wise guidance of the peerlessly great men.

He noted that President Kim Il Sung founded the AUK on March 26, Juche 43 (1954) and indicated important guidelines to be consistently held fast to in the construction sector and led the union work.

The reporter said that Chairman Kim Jong Il formulated the essence, mission and characteristics of Juche-oriented architecture in his famous work "On Architecture" and gave perfect answers to the theoretical and practical issues arising in the creation of modern architecture.

In the new century of Juche, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, genius of creation and construction, has energetically guided the construction sector to bring about epoch-making changes, the reporter stressed.

He called for defending and adding luster to the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by the peerlessly great men for the development of Juche-oriented architecture and bringing about a steady surge in architectural creation for the prosperity and development of the country and the promotion of the people's well-being.
