Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites in Mt Paektu Continues
Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- Many people in the DPRK have made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Since the start of winter study tour in November last, more than 1 200 groups including officials of the Party and power organs in the capital city and provinces, working people's organizations, commissions, ministries, national agencies and armed forces organs and working people, service personnel and youth and students from across the country have made the study tour of Mt Paektu area.

Officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students from more than 400 units made the study tour of Mt Paektu, the sublime mountain of revolution, in November and December last year. And at least 20 000 people toured the anti-Japanese battle sites there in February alone this year.

In the Paektusan Secret Camp, a sacred place of the revolution, they looked round well-preserved historic relics, recollecting the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation.

At Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp, they recalled his revolutionary career who grew up, hearing the sound of gunfire as a lullaby during the anti-Japanese war.

After climbing Mt Paektu, they toured Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, the Samjiyon Grand Monument, the Monument to the Victorious Battle in Musan Area, etc.

At the bivouacs and during their march, the study tour group members had meetings to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, question-and-answer study contests and other events.
