DPRK Proves Successful at 2024 IWF World Cup

| Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- DPRK players Ri Song Gum and Pang Un Chol won the title of women's 49 kg and the title of men's 55 kg respectively at the 2024 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Cup. Ri Song Gum lifted 97 kg in snatch and 124 kg in jerk, 221 kg in total (new world record), to win gold medals in jerk and total and silver in snatch on April 1. On the same day, Pang Un Chol lifted 118kg in snatch and 152 kg in jerk, 270 kg in total, to come first in jerk and total and third in snatch. |
