DPRK Weightlifters Prove Successful at IWF World Cup

| Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- DPRK players are proving successful at the 2024 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Cup one after another. At the men's 67kg category held on April 4, Ri Won Ju bagged two gold medals in jerk and total and a silver medal in snatch by lifting 144kg in snatch and 189kg in jerk (new world record), 333kg in total. Meanwhile, Kim Il Gyong won a gold medal in snatch and two silver medals in jerk and total at the women's 59kg category on April 3. |
