Anniversary of Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Preservation Institution Marked

Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- The Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Preservation Institution in the DPRK marked its 70th founding anniversary. President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the martyrs cemetery was built at the picturesque Mt Taesong, and visited the mountain several times to fix its location. The cemetery was successfully built on Jujak Peak under the loving care of the peerlessly great man who gave detailed information about the names of martyrs, their birthdays, the years of their participation in the revolution and even when and where they passed away. Chairman Kim Jong Il initiated a project for remodeling the cemetery on an extension basis and visited it several times, giving important instructions on more than 100 occasions. He indicated the orientation and ways for building the cemetery into a grand monument of the times, including the issue of embossing the wreath-laying stand with the Medal of DPRK Hero and designing the gate and road excellently. Under the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong is shining as a witness to the noble love and moral obligation that has been invariably carried forward century after century and the history and tradition of the Korean revolution pioneered in Mt Paektu are being creditably carried forward and developed. Officials and employees of the preservation institution have taken scientific measures to ensure the regular management of the revolutionary relics at a high level and steadily improved the explanation contents and methods, thus making a positive contribution to arming the working people, service personnel and schoolchildren with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu.
