Officials and working people of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the State Commission of Science and Technology, the State General Bureau of Design and other commissions and national agencies have devoted themselves to further sprucing up the sacred temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state.

The people's committees of Hanggu, Waudo and Chollima districts in Nampho Municipality sent good species of trees to contribute to adding beauty to the Kumsusan area.

Thuja, apricot and peach trees from officials and employees of Chongryu Restaurant and more than 2 000 trees and flower roots of 30 species from women's union officials and members across the country were planted in the area.

Also planted there were white broad bellflowers from women in Tanchon City of South Hamgyong Province, Sosong District of Pyongyang and Paechon County of South Hwanghae Province and schoolchildren in Kanggye City of Jagang Province, Hyesan City of Ryanggang Province, Sariwon City of North Hwanghae Province and Phyonggang County of Kangwon Province and other parts of the country.
