His assumption of the top posts at the Fourth Conference of the WPK and the Fifth Session of the Twelfth Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK held in April Juche 101 (2012) was a historic event of weighty significance in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, the cause of socialism.

The DPRK people are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal feats of the General Secretary who consolidated the foundation for strengthening the Party and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche to the full and put the comprehensive national power and position of the Republic on an absolute level in the last period, assuming the most responsible and important mission of the new succession and development of the Juche revolution.

Setting it as an important issue in building a powerful socialist country to cement the politico-ideological position, the General Secretary has rallied all the people ideologically and volitionally under the uplifted banner of the great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and further strengthened the single-minded unity of the Party and the masses of the people with the people-first principle.

True to the noble intention of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, he declared the road of Juche and self-reliance as the immutable path of the Korean revolution and raised a strong wind of self-support and self-reliance across the country.

A great golden age of construction was opened up and many creations of self-reliance and self-development were built on this land under the guidance of Kim Jong Un who is taking the lead in opening a broad avenue for achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance.
