The DPRK players bagged 38 medals including 21 gold medals at the tournament held in Thailand.

They were greeted at Pyongyang International Airport on April 13 by Kim Il Guk, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, Kuk Myong Ho, minister of Railways who is member of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Ri Yong Min, director of the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service who is chairman of the Weightlifting Association, officials concerned, officials in the field of sports and the players' families.
