Joint Seminar Held Abroad to Celebrate President Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary

Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- A joint seminar of Nordic progressive political parties and friendship organizations took place in Sweden on April 6 to celebrate the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. Present there were personages and members of progressive political parties, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and Juche idea study organizations in Nordic countries, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Finland. At the seminar, speakers expressed boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung who made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of Juche and the cause of global independence. Juha Kieksi, international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League, said that the great President Kim Il Sung is an outstanding leader who showed the road of independence and sovereignty and socialist development with the brilliant rays of Juche. And he praised the undying feats of the peerlessly great man who led the arduous anti-Japanese war to victory under the banner of self-reliant independence and accomplished the historic cause of building the Party, the state and the army after the national liberation. Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said that Comrade Kim Il Sung authored many works showing the path of the anti-imperialist struggle to provide powerful weapons to the peoples of fighting countries and wisely led the non-aligned movement. Dag Norum, chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, praised Kim Il Sung's ideological and theoretical exploits, saying that the DPRK was devastated by the war forced by the U.S. imperialists in the 1950s, but it was built into a paradise thanks to his Juche-oriented leadership. Anders Kristensen, honorary chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, explained the President's exploits for the national liberation and the nation-building. |
