April 25, Juche 21 (1932) when the KPRA was founded is a historic day of great significance in the history of the Korean revolution and the nation and in the future development of our state and people.

Rodong Sinmun says that the birth of the first genuine armed forces of Korea provided the leading force to directly take charge of and lead the historic cause of national liberation, and the ever-victorious history of the Korean revolution advancing by dint of powerful arms started.

The anti-Japanese war was a nationwide resistance to annihilate the Japanese imperialists who were trying to deprive Korea of its sovereignty and make the Korean people permanent colonial slaves, and a sacred revolutionary struggle which produced a great mental wealth guaranteeing the victory of our cause for all ages, the paper says, and goes on:.

The anti-Japanese armed ranks produced the far-reaching plan of the Korean revolution, the indomitable spirit and iron-willed strength to defeat the imperialist tyranny and a great tradition of fundamental and lasting significance in the development of our revolution.

The Korean revolution has dynamically advanced towards the goal set by it along the road chosen by itself without any moment's stagnation or even the slightest vacillation in the face of all difficulties because it has firmly carried forward the great revolutionary idea and spirit that have taken root in Mt Paektu generation after generation.

The immortal heroism and self-sacrificing spirit of the KPRA which has struck terror into the Japanese imperialist aggressors in the indomitable revolutionary spirit, cherishing the revolutionary idea of the President as firm faith, serve as an ideological and spiritual pabulum of the Korean people and service personnel who are now frustrating the imperialist tyranny by dint of our own strength and accomplishing the historic great cause of building a rich country with strong army.

Nothing can block the dynamic advance of the Korean revolution advancing toward a great new victory as long as there is a large contingent of successors who are firmly carrying forward the lineage of the great idea and faith, fully displaying the indomitable soul and spirit of the powerful DPRK.

Minju Joson says that the founding of the KPRA was a nation-wide event which declared the death-defying resistance against imperialism under the uplifted banner of national liberation and independence by dint of self-reliance and a historic event that ushered in a new era of the Juche revolution relying on the powerful revolutionary armed forces.
