This year the province has readjusted roadbeds in hundreds of kilometer-long sections, supplemented gravels and sent a lot of raw and other materials to the railway field.

After setting a period of intensive repair, Unjon County readjusted slopes of thousands square meters and provided cement and steel necessary for concrete sleeper production on a preferential basis to contribute to increasing the railway intensity.

Sinuiju City and Sakju and Ryongchon counties have secured tens of thousands of railway fixtures and put efforts to building facilities at crossings observation posts and sprucing up the appearance of railway stations and areas around railways.

After acquainting themselves with the technical conditions of railway sections in their charge, Yomju and Sonchon counties took timely measures for make defective places safe ones. Jongju City and Cholsan and Thaechon counties planted thousands of trees, replaced the boundary stones in the sections in their charge, reinforced walls and readjusted ditches in a responsible manner.

Officials and employees of institutions and industrial establishments at all levels sent materials for repair and welfare supply service to the workers in the railway transport field.
