Sinyang Kumgang, Scenic Spot of DPRK
Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- Sinyang Kumgang is a scenic spot situated in Sinyang County, South Phyongan Province of the DPRK.

Sinyang Kumgang is a mountain with a height of about 210 meters.

Clear and clean water of Phyongwon Stream, a tributary to the Piryu River, is flowing at the foot of the mountain, adding beauty to it.

Sinyang Kumgang consists of beautiful rocks and cliffs.

A sandy beach and pebbles can be seen at the riverside.

The scenic spot is covered with coniferous trees and broad-leaved trees, bushes, flower trees and wild fruit trees. Also found there are medicinal herbs including wild insam and broad bellflower, rare plants such as aralia shoots, anise, leopard plant and songi mushroom, and more than 40 kinds of useful birds, hedgehog, roe deer and other animals.

More than 20 kinds of freshwater fish are inhabited in the upper reaches of the Piryu River.

Sinyang Kumgang has been turned into a cultural recreation site for the working people, contributing to their emotional life.
