Kim Jae Hyok, director of the State Hydro-Meteorological Administration, made a report there.

The reporter said that under the guidance of General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the administration has developed into a reliable weather forecast service base and a powerful scientific research base, which substantially contributes to the protection of the country's natural resources and lives and property of the people and to their livelihood, for the past decade.

The General Secretary visited the administration on June 9, Juche 103 (2014) and clearly indicated the tasks and ways for bringing about a decisive improvement in the hydro-meteorological work, the reporter noted.

He recalled that Kim Jong Un made great efforts even at midnight and early dawn to teach the ways for putting the weather forecast on a scientific and quick basis and appreciated the efforts of officials and forecasters of the administration before others.

He called upon all the officials and employees of the administration to glorify the leadership exploits of the Party and devote all their wisdom and enthusiasm to the hydro-meteorological work and thus contribute to the economic development of the country and the people's living.
