When visiting the farm on June 9, Juche 103 (2014), the General Secretary learned in detail about the production of vegetables while going round newly-built and renovated vegetable greenhouses. He stressed the need to put the greenhouse vegetable cultivation on a scientific and intensive basis of high level so as to steadily increase productivity, saying that the Workers' Party of Korea should push forward with the construction and operation of greenhouses.

He visited the farm again in June next year and praised it for having built scores of hectares of greenhouses and laid a firm foundation for boosting the vegetable production, adding that the farm should take the lead in the greenhouse vegetable farming and the socialist cultural rural construction.

With a noble view on the people, he unrolled a grand plan to build a large-scale vegetable greenhouse farm in the Jungphyong area in the northern part of the country.

He sent a lot of data on greenhouses and latest scientific and technological data, preferentially solved all problems including provision of equipment, materials and funds and made sure that the greenhouse farm was completed as a creation of love for the people, in which the farm is based on practical and formative art of architecture and its production lines are armed with indigenous technology and equipment.

Thanks to the warm loving care of the benevolent father who is thinking ceaselessly to bring about the practical successes waited and pleased by the people, a treasure farm appeared in the Ryonpho area to contribute to improving the South Hamgyong provincial people's diet.

This year, a world-class vegetable producer, further advanced in the intensive, optimized and intelligent levels, was built in the Kangdong area in a matter of one year. It is nearly twice the size of project and production capacity of the Ryonpho Greenhouse Farm.

The "greenhouse town", "farm city", a splendid embodiment of the Party's grand plan for rural revolution and socialist civilization in the new era, has appeared to bring a new phase of greenhouse vegetable production. After all, realized was one of the cherished desires of our Party, which set it as an important affair to solve the problem of providing the people with plenty of fresh vegetables in all seasons in a few coming years.
