Recalling this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an editorial says:

Let us live and struggle with the ideals, faith and spirit of the revolutionaries of the first generation who accomplished the cause of the Party founding -- this should be the feature of life for officials at present.

Holding aloft the red flag associated with the noble ideal, the first generation of our revolution successfully accomplished the historic cause of the Party founding with the indomitable faith to struggle to realize the masses' cause of independence, the communist cause, to the last, the spirit of unity based on the monolithic ideology and the one and only centre, the spirit of independence that the Party building and activities are conducted in our own way in conformity with our actual conditions and the spirit of serving the people that officials struggle in the vanguard of the people, deeply rooted among the masses.

The revolutionary forerunners started the cause of the Party founding with bare hands under the condition that flunkeyism and dogmatism got more pronounced and the Japanese imperialists made more desperate efforts. They firmly believed in only President Kim Il Sung and rallied comrades in his ideas and intention and went through a rough path of Party building. Thanks to them who had worked hard with noble ideals, indomitable faith and staunch spirit, the Down-with-Imperialism Union came into being as the starting point of the struggle for founding a new-type party, the Juche-oriented revolutionary party, in our country. And the society for rallying comrades, the embryo and seed of our Party, was organized and the precious base and experience of Party founding were made in the course of expanding Party organizations with it as the mother.

The ideals, faith and spirit deeply kept and displayed by the Korean communists in the bloody struggle are the precious treasures of the Korean revolution.

It is the steadfast will of General Secretary Kim Jong Un to usher in a new heyday of Party building by firmly carrying forward the ideas and spirit of the Party founding.

The editorial calls upon all officials to live and work with the ideals, faith and spirit of the revolutionary forerunners so as to fulfill their responsibility and duty as the leading personnel of the revolution in the struggle to further enhance the leadership ability and fighting efficiency of our Party and usher in a new era of comprehensive national development.
