The Ministry of Forestry worked out a tree-planting plan after making a study of the forest situation in the cyclic felling area and pushed ahead with the work to increase the survival rate.

Officials and workers of stations under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau planted many trees, keeping technical requirements in the work for digging holes and other processes.

Similar successes were made at North and South Phyongan, Kangwon, North and South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provincial forestry management bureaus.
