Taking part in the contest, held from May 5 to June 30, were provincial teams, composed of excellent players from regional sports groups (including those at industrial establishments).

North Hamgyong Province took the first place in the men's football matches and South Phyongan Province in the women's football match.

Trophy cups and medals were awarded to the successful teams and players.
