The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex has pushed ahead with the work for remodeling the steel workshop No. 1 and reinforcing the production lines of the hot-rolling shop while ensuring the normal operation of the energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace.

The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex has promoted the work to put the newly-built energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace on a normal operation while directing efforts to attaining the goals planned this year including the overhaul of 100-ton electric furnace.

The Chollima Steel Complex completed technical preparations for the construction of 60-ton UHP electric arc furnace and electrode production base with a capacity of thousands tons and went into on their construction projects.

And it is concentrating its effort on the work to establish the production lines of molten iron by electric furnace, ladle refining and continuous rolling sheet.
