Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and director of the Organization Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and director general of the General Affairs Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Song Kun Hak, vice-chairman and director of the Education Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, So Chung On, vice-chairman and director of the Department for International Affairs of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, and department directors and advisor of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan and other officials of central organizations of Chongryon and its affiliates.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

The participants paid silent tribute to Kim Il Sung in the humblest reverence.

Pak Ku Ho made a memorial address.

He said that Kim Il Sung was the pioneer of the overseas compatriots' movement in the era of independence, founder of Chongryon and benefactor of the life and benevolent father of Koreans in Japan.

His unique idea and cause of overseas compatriots' movement were steadily carried forward by the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and are now developing onto a new high stage under the wise guidance of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, he said.

He said that the revolutionary idea of Kim Jong Un is a comprehensive succession to the revolutionary ideas of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and a development into a new higher stage, and the leadership of Kim Jong Un is a powerful force that makes it possible to perfectly realize the patriotic desire of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for building a powerful country at the noblest level.

He called on all Koreans in Japan to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan and a new era of prosperity of Chongryon in step with the people in the homeland by uniting closer with patriotism, and thus glorify for all ages the undying feats performed by the peerlessly great men for the Juche-oriented overseas compatriots' movement.
