UAWK organizations in South Hwanghae Province are making preparations to cope with the aftermath of disasters.

In Kangwon Province, UAWK organizations have made successes in the waterway project by arousing the enthusiasm of the masses.

The Phyongwon County Irrigation Management Station in South Phyongan Province conducted shock brigade activities for repairing reservoirs to raise the drainage capacity more than twice and established a double power system at pumping stations to reduce damage to paddy and non-paddy fields to the maximum.

The Mundok County Irrigation Management Station has pushed ahead with the work to improve the water-passing capacity.

Meanwhile, UAWK organizations in Onchon County of Nampho Municipality and other parts of the country has directed efforts to the maintenance and reinforcement of irrigation and drainage systems while taking good care of pumps, motors, transformers and others.
