Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an editorial says that all organizations of the Workers' Party of Korea should take prompt and thorough foresight measures to minimize natural damage under such unpredictable situation when and where sudden events may occur due to floods, downpour and strong wind. Nothing is more important than to protect the life and security of the people for our Party, which works hard to provide a more affluent and civilized life to them with full responsibility for their destiny, the editorial says, and goes on: It is the steadfast creed of our Party that every member of the nation is the precious being who should never be lost and that everything in the country is guaranteed only when all its people are safe and healthy. Our people's deep trust in the Party is creditably ensured by the devoted struggle of the Party organizations at all levels. The national economic plans assigned to each sector and unit are different from each other, but to minimize natural disaster is the urgent task facing all the Party organizations. All the Party organizations across the country should be clearly mindful of the importance and significance of taking thorough measures to prevent damage and should do their utmost to reliably guarantee the people's life and security and the country's interests. The maximum alertness should be given to the work of coping with the disastrous abnormal weather. Disaster prevention is an important undertaking for the protection of the people's lives and the national prosperity and development, and no success can be expected without it. All the Party organizations should arouse the officials, Party members and other working people to the struggle for minimizing damage from the disastrous abnormal weather and thus give further momentum to the vigorous advance toward the victorious conclusion of 2024. |
