Its establishment enables the complex to reduce the steel-making time and the consumption of electricity and electrode considerably and increase the production while improving the quality of molten iron.

With the pride of having laid a firm foundation for increased production by dint of self-reliance and science and technology, officials, workers and technicians of the complex are now putting spurs to the increased iron and steel production to implement the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
