Provincial Groups of Party Members Arrive at Sites of Recovery from Flood Damage

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Provincial regiments of Party members arrived at the sites for recovery from flood damage in Jagang and Ryanggang provinces one after another. They were greeted by officials and working people in Manpho City and Sijung, Jonchon, Rangnim, Junggang and Jasong counties of Jagang Province. After learning about the flood damage, their commanding officers took detailed measures for allocation of manpower and supply of materials and began the recovery campaign. Members of the South Phyongan provincial regiment started preparations for construction as soon as they arrived at the spot. So they secured tens of thousands of blocks and tens of cubic meters of aggregate in a single day. Those regiments from North and South Hwanghae and Kangwon provinces displayed large visual motivation aids and conducted information activities by loudspeaker vans so as to rev up the atmosphere of the rehabilitation sites. The regiments from South Hamgyong Province and Nampho Municipality are making preparations for the housing construction. Meanwhile, the regiments from North Hamgyong Province and Rason Municipality arrived in the flood-stricken areas of Kim Hyong Jik and Kim Jong Suk counties amid welcome by inhabitants of Ryanggang Province, and set about the preparations for construction. The regiments have pushed ahead with land leveling by giving detailed assignments to battalions and companies and raising the operation rate of hydraulic loaders, excavators and trucks. They have also concentrated their forces and means on finding the places for digging gravels and sand and building the places for cement block production and the digging and transport of rubble stones for repairing the roads. And they are helping the neighboring farms to repair the flood damage. All the members of the regiments are making dynamic advance to make miracles and innovations at all the recovery sites. |
