The contest was held in the capital city of Pyongyang, Phyongsong City of South Phyongan Province, Hamhung City of South Hamgyong Province, Kangso District of Nampho Municipality and other areas of the country from July 17. Students selected from all provinces, cities and counties competed in more than 10 events, including football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, handball and weightlifting.

Present at the closing ceremony were officials concerned and players and schoolchildren in the county of Sukchon.

Cups and medals were awarded to the successful teams and players.
