North Phyongan Province is making an effort to decide on the proper sowing period and the method of growing wheat in a rational way.

South Hamgyong Province has increased the area of wheat cultivation while making sure that cities and counties produce a lot of quality self-sufficing manure in order to fertilize extra land for growing wheat.

Similar work is going on in other provinces, too, with the approach of period for sowing winter wheat.
