The municipal science and technology commission made sure that competent researchers, three-revolution team members and others were involved in solving the technical issues for increased production and the adjustment and reinforcement project to bring about big stride in manufacturing a medium-frequency induction furnace for the Kaesong Machine Factory and consolidating the material and technical foundation of the Kaesong Condiments Factory.

The municipal industrial technology institute has solved sci-tech problems arising in production by relying on its own personnel.

Its officials and researchers manufactured high-performance milk powder production equipment by themselves and intensified the research into microbial compound fertilizer and introduced it into farms, thus contributing to increasing the per-hectare grain yield.

The municipality also made achievements in extracting essential oils from locally available raw materials, lowering production cost and increasing extraction rate.
