Officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and relevant units are taking practical measures to ensure the promptness of reporting the occurrence and establish a well-regulated mobilization system of fire extinguishment, while updating a forest fire monitoring information service system.

South Phyongan Province has encouraged working people, inhabitants and students to turn out in forest conservation with consciousness of civic duty and patriotism, and has taken measures to control dangerous areas and places.

North Hamgyong Province has installed the firebreaks, stone-embankment barriers and catchment sites as required by the regulations and enhanced the role of forest rangers and forest fire rangers.

While checking, readjusting and reinforcing IT means for monitoring the possible forest fire, North Phyongan Province has ensured that the inhabitants strictly observe the established order for entering mountains.

The same is true of North Hwanghae Province.
